As the head of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, Dr. Abu Safiya became a symbol of resistance, refusing to abandon his patients even as the terrorist zionist army laid siege to his hospital. His unwavering dedication to his people and his ultimate sacrifice embody the unbreakable spirit of Palestinian resilience.

This scholarship seeks to preserve his memory by supporting future medical professionals who share his courage, defiance against oppression, and commitment to serving their communities in the face of injustice.

🧬 Eligibility Criteria

To apply, students must:

✅ Be of Palestinian descent or demonstrate a proven commitment to Palestinian humanitarian causes

✅ Be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited medical school (in Egypt)

✅ Demonstrate exceptional dedication to serving marginalized or war-affected communities

✅ Show courage in adversity, whether through activism, medical service, or advocacy

✅ Submit a personal statement detailing how they embody Dr. Abu Safiya’s values and how they will honor his legacy

✅ Have financial need (for need-based consideration) or a proven record of academic distinction (for merit-based consideration)
